BRIDGING THE GAP
Maura Hamilton, candidate for Speaker of the Student Senate, is looking to bridge the gap between students and Student Government. She seeks to help educate the students on what the Student Senate does, and help develop the Senators into better versions of themselves.
BRINGING THE CHANGE
Ashley Reynolds, candidate for Student Body Treasurer, seeks to bring about change in the Treasurer's office. With major uncertainty the past few years, Ashley will bring stability and trust back. She desires to create a transparent office that works with students to get their organizations the financing they need, and when they need it.

Make Senate More Transparent & Present

Regularly update students on what the Senate is working on, how money is being spent, and key decisions being made.

Use social media, emails, and other platforms to keep students informed about the Senate's work.
Help Students Use Senate as a Resource

Create an easy way for students to bring up issues, suggest ideas, and work with the Senate to make changes.

Launch a “Know Your Senate” campaign so students understand how the Senate can support them.

Set up regular office hours and drop-in sessions where students can talk to their representatives.
Support Senators’ Leadership & Career Growth

Provide in-depth training on Senate rules and procedures so senators feel confident in their roles.

- Offer professional development opportunities like resume workshops, headshot sessions, and leadership training.

Set up mentorship programs to help senators grow and take on bigger leadership roles.
Advocate for the Communities I Represent

Nursing students – Push for better resources, clinical education, and mental health support.

Out-of-state students – Advocate for better inclusion, housing, and tuition support.

Honors students – Work on expanding academic opportunities, mentorship, and research support.

Students with on-campus jobs – Fight for fair work policies, better scheduling, and more job support.
